ARacer RC Mini Plus 2 ECU Install
Installation of this ECU is fairly straightforward. This is a complete plug-n-play system.
Note: Flashing the base map is required for your year.
You will need a Windows-based computer and either the iLink cable or bLINK 2 module to flash the ECU and perform any type of change.
Parts we’re going to install:
- 1x ARacer RC Mini Plus 2 ECU
- 1x ARacer iMode Controller
Let’s get started!
Step 1) Remove Stock ECU
Assuming you already know how to take off your stock fairings and seat, all you need to do is locate your stock ECU and unplug it.
Step 2) Install ARacer RC Mini Plus 2 ECU
Plug the new ECU into the stock harness. This ECU is slightly bigger than the stock ECU so it will not fit in the same location as it was. You may have to flip/flop the ECU over to gain some clearance. See step 3 to get a better idea.
Step 3) Remove End Caps
Remove the end cap on the RC Mini Plus 2. If you are not installing the AF1/DG1 kit, skip to step 4. If you are, then you will need to check out our other guide here for further instruction.
Step 4) Install iMode III Controller
At this point, you should find a good place to mount the controller. Attach the harness to the iMode Controller and to the RC Mini Plus 2 plug shown in step 3. NOTE: The controller displays only when the ignition is in the “ON” position.
This concludes the installation of the RC Mini Plus 2 ECU. From here onward, you will need to make changes and adjust the ECU parameters on the iMode controller.
